Professional Member, Reiki Membership Association of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) which requires adherence to a Code of Ethics as well as consistency through standard practices.

My passion has always been to teach. I earned a Bachelor of Education degree and began a wonderful thirty-six year career as an educator. I was blessed with many  opportunities to expand my understanding of teaching and learning as a classroom teacher, principal, workshop facilitator, national consultant and conference speaker, and Faculty of Education Internship Leader with our local university. When I left teaching I truly thought I was finished with this part of my life. 

Then I was introduced to the world of Reiki and immediately wanted to learn more about Reiki so I started taking Reiki training in 2015. The first few years as a Reiki practitioner were very lonely years for me! I wasn’t able to find ways to become connected with other Reiki practitioners in my community. I felt very much like a Reiki orphan. I had so many questions to ask, so many things I wondered about and so many experiences I wanted to share with others. My solution was to take my Reiki Master training so that I could teach others and create a Reiki community with the students I teach. My commitment to my students is to provide opportunities for each student to receive Reiki know-how knowledge, have ample practice time, have questions addressed, communicate and connect with other Reiki practitioners and to be part of a supportive Reiki community. I didn’t want my students to feel like Reiki orphans. As a Reiki community we support each other to use Reiki in our daily lives in very practical ways and to expand our understanding of and our relationship with Reiki. We support each other. When you have a community that is supporting each other everyone benefits!

I have had the privilege of studying with many accomplished Reiki Masters from around the globe. Most recently I retook all levels of Reiki training including some new Reiki trainings with Licensed Reiki Teachers from the International Center for Reiki Training:
